The Toyota RAV4 - the best mode of transport for the Lower North Shore of Sydney. You sit up high and don't have to worry about speed bumps or pot holes. It has a CD player, air conditioning, automatic transmission, sun roof, cruise control, power windows, power steering and masses of boot space.

Ferry pulling into Mosman Bay Wharf, opposite our local pub, the Mosman Rowers. No finer place to have a drink on an afternoon than on the deck looking at the yachts and boats.

Balmoral. a very safe harbour beach, ten minutes drive away, with great restaurants, cafes and safe swimming for children.

Manly beach, 15 minutes away by car. Named by Captain Cook when he saw the "manly" aboriginals on it. Great surfing beach with two sides to it, one ocean and one harbour.

Five minutes walk away to Kirribilli (Prime Minister's residence area). Many gorgeous fine dining restaurants, plus casual, seafood, Thai, Spanish, Japanese, Indian and great Pubs almost under the Harbour Bridge. We have a harbour pool directly opposite the Sydney Opera House, fifteen minutes walk along the foreshore. You would never expect to have such beautiful surroundings so close to the City.

Hayes Street, Neutral Bay Wharf at the end of our street where you can catch the scenic 10 minute ferry ride to Circular Quay in the city. There you can transfer to Manly Ferry (Manly beach), Harbour Cruises, City, Darling Harbour, etc.

Opera House and City skyline from the end of Broughton Street, 15 minutes walk, 2 minutes drive from the apartment.
The Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay from the same vantage point.
