| Not even the rain has hands so small as these Not even the moonlight has a touch so gentle The tender caress of a mother, a lover Not even nature has eyes so green Not even the ocean has such depth Peer into my soul, see what I hide away Not even the night has arms so soft Not even the darkness is so enfolding Loving embrace, hold me throughout the night Not even a child has a smile so innocent as this Not even a priest has such passion A kiss so soft I am both enslaved and set free Not even an angelic chorus has such a melody Not even the most beautiful poetry has such love Holding me close, you sing to me, sotly say "I love you" Not even the brush of angels wings is so delicate Not even the wind caresses me so softly Yoou slowly run your sensitive Hands through my hair Not even rose petals are so very soft Not even the breath of God is so warm I lightly caress your delicate skin Not even a million poems could express such love Not even a million songs could show such joy Holding you close, I will love you for all time. |
