Benediction Of The Night
Alone in the Night
a shadow moves
a figure blending in with the darkness.
At Home in the Night
a prince of the midnight world
his soul echoing the world's dark distress.
A Moan in the Night
piercing the stullifying silence
laughter with the tinge of madness.
A Child of the Night
thriving in the moonlight
eschewing the light of day.
In the Wild of the Night
he is lord of the nocturnal jungle
a dark knight with no dragons to slay.
In the Trials of The Night
he is judge and jury
over rulings of right and wrong, good and evil, he holds sway.
By the Laws of the Night
the innocent are found guilty
and the guilty are found most guilty of all.
In the Claws of the Night
the unwary are shreaded
those who aren't careful are quick to fall.
In the Halls of the Night
guilt is mankind's heritage
a burden shared by all who answer the Night's Call.
