The Prequel
This is where the journey begins!!! Welcome to Sojourn!!! Evil spread itself across the world of Quin. The warlord Mordath put the Five Lands to the torch and the sword, conquering nearly all of Quin. But a mysterious warrior appeared and forged the victims of Mordath's tyranny into an army powerful enough to challenge him. Now Mordath is besieged in his castle.
We begin with Mordath torturing a brave fighter, Mordath is SLIGHTLY upset with this new found army that is threatening him and he wants to know who the leader is, but mum is the word and the soldier won't speak. He pays for it with his life. Mordath then leaves to oversee what was happening in his palace area. It is under attack! He arms himself and begins to battle, showing no mercy, and no patience for discerning the leader of this opposing force.
He is stabbed in the arm by a flying darkskinned man, one of the many tribes that inhabit the 5 lands. Mordath is relentless and will not succumb and turns the tables and slays the winged warrior. Mordath is futher protected by one of his main trolls, Mahk. Then a towering figure on a horse appears, there is the sense that the battle is nearing a dramatic conclusion. A special arrow flys through the air, blowing up part of the castle and covering many, including Mordath, in the debris. But He still lives and still battles on, finally coming face to to face with his opposition...
Ayden makes his appearance, and instead of attacking Mordath pursues the "option" of Mordath surrendering. We learn that Ayden had no desire to get involved but that Mordath left him no choice, it forced him to choose sides, something Ayden obviously dislikes. Surrendering was not an option Mordath would swallow, Ayden turns his back and Mordath attackes in a rage, but only to meet something he never expected...
An arrow right in the upper gut, a special arrow charged with some wierd mystic power or force, as he dies Mordath swears vengence. Ayden withdraws the arrow from his fallen foe and addresses the people. They want him to lead them, he declines- he says he has lead before but his reign spawned division and destruction, but he would still leave an option open, that if they face a great need in the future they are to summon him...
With that he breaks the arrow into 5 pieces and scatters them across the Five Lands. Those will be the tools that will rouse him, if a threat arises so large again they are to unnite and he will come and lead them again. With that said he mounts his horse and rides off into the sunset. The scene then changes to a tomb, many years later, 2 robed figures are around a corpse, Mordath's corpse. One of the robed figures is concerned greatly that this is a mistake, that giving him a sigil will not be wise. The other replies with the idea that if Mordath threw the world into chaos then he would do the same if he was brought back. With that the sigil is imparted on the top of his skull and this all too short journey ends...until next time.
