The Sacrifice Was Made
Psalms 51:17-18 "The sacrifices of God are..."

The obvious opposition come in the fact that we, the christians, do the same thing. This is not the case. We do give money as tithe, we do allow to deprave ourselves from things to get more in touch with our savior, but these are by choice and obedience rather than carrying the eternal flame that comes with other religions' practices. The purpose of this Bible Study is not to disrespect other religions, or condemn, that would not be holy. The purpose is to show Christians that our actions will not save our souls. Period. In the book of Psalms, chapter 51:17,18 God says "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. In your good pleasure make Zion prosper; build up walls of Jerusalem." These statements bring some interesting points:
1. The book of Psalms is Old Testament, meaning that "sacrificial offerings" were a custom ordained by God. This looks contradictory, but it goes back to sin and God's longing for His creation to love Him openly. "Sacrifices of God...broken spirit...broken and contrite heart" God created the Earth, the species on it, the Heaven's and all the beauty for US! The God you may have seen is one who wants you to change completely, never have fun, and just do what is boring or "holy." That can be no farther from the truth! God does want your heart, He doesn't care about the sacrifices anymore, He wants you to choose to love Him.
2. The "good pleasure" of God making "Zion prosper" and such only means that He wants to bless His people, and wants to make their lives better than they are. "Build up the wals of Jerusalem," put to a personal level means that He wants to protect you from the things that will take your life, your purity, or your soul. That seems like a pretty good deal to me.
"The only way to enter life is to get to the Creator of it." This become true, the idea of God blessing you, protecting you, when you give Him your heart. It is completely your choice, the Savior Jesus did not ever force anything on anyone! God wants a choice from you! You can live the best life in the world, and still not choose Him. The point is found in Hebrews, chapter 10. This shows that Christ made himself the FINAL sacrifice so that ALL could love Him, and be given the choice to accept life or death. Life will get you Heaven, sin will get you death and death will get you Hell without Jesus. It is more simple than counting rosary beads, or making spiritual journey's, and it is FREE!
