| Midway Church Youth Group would like to take this opportunity to thank you for viewing our we page today and invite you to participate in any of our special youth group activities. The Youth Group is a great group. Ages from 13 to 21+ are involved in the group at present. Some of our group is saved, some aren't.......but we all love one another, and have fun together. We've gone on shopping trips to the mall, to contemporary Christian concerts, on hikes, had lock-ins, theme birthday parties, super bowl football get togethers, New Year's Eve get togethers, whenever-we get-the-chance get togethers - (you get the idea), movie nights and last summer we rented a house in Pigeon Forge and had a terrific time (which we hope to do again this summer (Lord willing)). We'd like to mention to you that we have a Bible Discussion Group that meets at our house (Jim and Deb) every Monday night at 7:00(ish).e-mail me for directions (please be interested!). We usually have anywhere from 6-14 people and always have a great, great time. We talk about anything and everything, and anyone gets to pick a topic! Also, we meet every Wednesday night after service up in the front of the church for five - ten minutes of prayer requests and prayer. Too, we met at the church at 4:00 p.m. every 2nd and 4th Saturdays for singing practice (with Gibby Townes), in case you're interested, or if you play an instrument, or if you just want to hear some good music, and have some good company just e-mail me about it. We are planning to perform a few skits to some songs (acting only, nonspeaking parts), lasting no longer than five minutes---strictly on a volunteer basis. We will be starting, in the next month or two, a mystery trip Saturday. We will know where you're going, you won't (till you get there, or you guess)! We'll call you up a day or two in advance and tell you to wear good or skanky clothes (depending on where we are going and what we'll be doing) and that's about all you'll know. Some of these mystery trips will be outreach related (for example, helping an elderly couple rebuild a porch or rehang a door or something like that, or working in a soup kitchen....just generally doing a good work for someone, and spreading God's love). Others will just be trips to the mall or hikes or whatever. We'll let you know if the trips will be outreach related though; we don't want you to feel uncomfortable. We do promise to ALWAYS let you know so you can decide whether or not to participate in the event! Every month with five Sundays, on that fifth Sunday night we have a Youth Service...we usually don't have a big turn-out.....we're trying to drum up business...any takers? I know there's more that we do that is not coming to mind right now, but mostly we just celebrate life and enjoy Jesus. The Youth Group always takes care of buying food and paying for fun. The only thing the individual pays for is whatever souvenirs he/she might want or any extra food or drinks. Please consider being a part of our Youth Group, we'd love to have you.
