February's
Hotties of the Month
Once again, the girls at the Crosby Connection Message Boards couldn't decide on only ONE hottie of the month, so we had to go with two.
This month's hotties of the month are not one, but TWO Team Canada hotties, Benoît Pouliot of the Sudbury Wolves and Justin Pogge of the Calgary Hitmen.
Benoît Pouliot:
A personal favourite of the webmistresses', Benny Pouliot is a 6'3", 180lbs Left Wing from Ottawa, Ontario. Benny was born on September 29th, 1986, making him a Libra.
A late bloomer, Pouliot burst onto the OHL scene last year, proving himself to be a gifted scorer in his rookie season with the Sudbury Worlves. In fact, he proved to be so gifted that he was named the OHL's Rookie of the Year.
In the draft, Pouliot, a virtual unknown the year before, unlike other top prospects such as Sidney Crosby and Jack Johnson, was chosen fourth overall by the Minnesota Wild.
This season, Pouliot was chosen to represent Canad at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Vancouver, British Columbia and he helped Canada to their second straight gold.
As for the OHL, Pouliot has only played 34 games for the Wolves this season. He has 48 points and is +19 in those 34 games.

Justin Pogge:
Born on April 22nd, 1986, Justin is in his third season in the WHL, and his first full season with the Calgary Hitmen. Before playing for the Hitmen, Justin Pogge played a season and a half with the Prince George Cougars.
Pogge was not initially on the radar for the Team Canada brass, however, his play in the early part of the season, often against Brent Sutter's Red Deer Rebels. His play attracted the attention and when brought to camp in December, Justin not only played his way onto Team Canada, he also played his way into the starting spot.
Pogge started every game for Team Canada in this year's World Junior's and backstopped the team to their second straight World Junior Gold.
Justin is the child of a single parent, and his mother says that when she was feeling desperate and afraid as a young, single pregnant woman it was his first kick that kept her from ending her life. Pierre McGuire of TSN refered to it as Justin Pogge's first kick save.
This year Justin Pogge has played 38 games for the Hitmen. He leads all WHL goalies. He has allowed only 65 goals, played 2288 minutes, has a goals against average of 1.70, and a save percentage of 0.925%.
Pogge has a league best 8 shut outs and has only lost 7 times in his 38 starts. Pogge's Hitmen sit second in the central division to the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Hitmen have 79 points nad the Tigers 81.
