December's Hotties
of the Month
Vincent LeCavelier was born on April 21st, 1980 in Ile-Bizard, Quebec, making him a 25 year old Taurus. Before playing Major Junior Hockey, Vinnie played Junior B hockey for Notre Dame Hounds of Saskatchewan when he attended the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame.
After spending a year in Notre Dame, Vinnie moved on to the QMJHL where he played for the Rimouski Ocèanic. Vinnie was the #1 overall pick in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft and jumped into the NHL immediately.
However, in his first NHL season, Vinnie failed to live up to expectations scoring only 13 goals and 15 assists in 82 games with a -19 rating.
In fact in his early NHL days the biggest complaint about LeCavelier was that he was a defensive liability. This is a complaint that haunted him into 2003 when Vinnie helped lead the Tampa Bay Lightining to their first ever Stanley Cup victory, and himself to a + 23 rating.
Thus far this year, LeCavelier has 13 goals, 18 assists and a + 6 rating with Lightining.

Patrick Coulombe was born on April 23rd, 1985 in St.-Fabien, Quebec, making him a 20 year old Taurus (we at the Crosby Connection message board apparently like Taurus).
Like LeCavelier, Coulombe plays for the Rimouski Ocèanic of the QMJHL. He has been with the team since the 2001-2002 when the defenseman played 34 games and had 8 assists. In the 2004-2005 season, Patrick had one of his best seasons ever.
Much like the rest of the team, Patrick was made better over the previous season by teammate Sidney Crosby and in 2004-2005, Patrick, along with Sid the Kid, Marc-Antoine Pouliôt, Dany Roussin and Mario Scalzo Jr. were the "Big 5" for the Nics.
In that season Patrick had 8 goals and 60 assists as he, and the rest of the "Big 5" led the Nics to the Memorial Cup final where they lost to the London Knights. In that tournament the "Big 5" managed 44 of Rimouski's 50 points. Coulombe accounted for 7 - 2 goals and 5 assists.
Patrick is undrafted and has one year left with the Nics as an over age player. He is currently the team's Captain. He has 5 goals and 19 assists in 25 games.
