Robinson Armament XCR-L

An entirely modern design, the XCR was built to
compete in the recent SCAR trials, the US special operations community’s
quest to find a replacement for the M4. It
is a truly unique design, possessing a quick-change barrel, an adjustable gas
piston system, left hand charging handle with integrated bolt forward assist,
military spec 1913 rail flattop, ambidextrous bolt release forward of the
trigger guard, and folding stock.
Internally, it has a bolt reminiscent of the AK-47 with enormous lugs
and extractor. Another notable feature
is quick cartridge caliber interchangeability.
While it comes standard with a 5.56 x 45 NATO barrel, bolt, and
magazine, kits are already available for 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel,
and 7.62 x 39 Soviet. This particular
copy is chambered for 5.56 x 45 mm NATO (.223 Remington) and has a 16 inch
light barrel. The grip is a Tango Down
aftermarket item, and front and rear flip sights are Yankee Hill Machine that
have not yet been properly zeroed.
Magazines are standard 30-round AR-15 type.
