Robinson Armament M96 Expeditionary

The original design was called the Stoner 63 and was
intended to be modular, meaning it could reconfigure from light assault carbine
to heavy machine gun by switching out parts, depending on the mission
requirements. It, however, only saw
limited military use. This particular
copy is a civilian-legal reissue by Robinson Armament that shares almost no
part interchangeability with the original, and cannot be made into a
machinegun. It has a 20 inch
quick-change barrel with integrated muzzle break, left hand bolt charging
handle, uses AR-15 30-round steel magazines, and has an adjustable short-stroke
piston gas system which is the hallmark of modern weapons design. It is chambered in 5.56 x 45 mm NATO (.223
Remington). The rear sights have two apertures,
one for 100 yards and the other for 500 yards, but they have not yet been properly
zeroed.
