Century International Arms C91

Century’s economical version of the
Heckler & Koch HK91 battle rifle. This is a very successful rifle that began
life shortly after World War 2 as a Spanish design called the CETME, and later
improved upon by Germany’s
premier weapons manufacturer, Heckler and Koch.
Known as the HK91, this improved version was Germany’s mainline troop rifle for
over 50 years (designated the G3) and continuous to see service with numerous
other militaries as well. Unique to this
design is its actuating system which uses no gas or piston but rather a
roller-delayed blowback mechanism that is simple and cheap to produce. This particular copy has an 18 inch barrel
with flash hider, an updated Navy-type polymer lower receiver, slimline front handguard, and
uses 20 round aluminum alloy magazines which have to their advantage lightness
of weight. It is chambered in 7.62 x 51
mm NATO (.308 Winchester). The rear sight has adjustable apertures for
ranges between 100 and 400 meters but has not yet been properly zeroed.
