GEELONG trekkers tackling part of Mt Everest had an unexpected visit from Getaway presenter Catriona Rowntree.

The television beauty was filming a segment at Mt Qomolangma Base Camp, 5200m above sea level,
when she spotted an Australian flag and found 10 Geelong trekkers last Wednesday.
The group, dubbed the Goanna Trekkers which included former mayor Ken Jarvis,
sent messages of love to their family and reported to all be in good health.
