| SIMPLE GIFT
When a child is born perfect with a beautiful smile The smile on the face It is a gift for us to take care of When a man sinks into aging with wrinkles on the eye brows The beautiful wrinkles on both brows It is a gift for us to be aware of When a woman has the eyes that wink to her husband The winking of an angel It is a gift for us to love the loved one When a teacher has speech that educates thousands The beautiful speech that open the heart of many It is a gift for us to use it well BP comes and goes But it gives me thousands of reflections How special I am to have all these simple gifts All on my simple face. | PAIN I walk these sinuous paths, ever winding around these endless tortuous days, hoping for those echoes of forgetfulness. A velvet cushioned seat, sinking within the shadows, once more Longing for sleep Lost in the weary flow of time, monumental in its grandeur. Bringing the burning pain again, as I kneel broken beneath the vastness of utter desolation. Once more I walk in the garden of my own Gethsemane among the ghosts that cloth me in garments of sorrow.
