When we haven't had any new submissions for a while, we will put up one of the older ones as our Poem Of The Month. Sometimes poems get missed and we want all our BP/FPers efforts to be seen and appreciated. :)
-For my daughter and for the mothers who cant smile.
Crystal clear your eyes ignite
Showering on me their perfect light.
Their innocence wandering across my face
Seeking my smile so out of place.
Your eyes that perfect part of you
Stun me with their ocean blue.
Unblinking they look up so trusting
The love they give me is undoubting.
Holding back my tears of emotion
I shower you with love and devotion.
A smile for me is hard to find
But my darling you don't mind.
You see in me the love so strong,
You know that with me you belong
You read my face and know its true
That you are a part of me and I am a part of you.
My angel that I hold so tight
You are my power and my might.
Your unconditional love for me
Is everything I hoped it would be.
