Our Kit!
What we Wear!
Our kit comprises of a black skirt, with differnt coloured flashes for each person, we also have white t-shirts and black waist-coats.  The Waist-coats are lace ups and each person has a lace to match their flash colour.  We wear black clogs and black tights.  When it's cold we have plain black tail-coats to wear over the top of our waist-coats.
Single-ended sticks are less common than the double-ended, but are used in a number of dances such as Royal Oak.  They are red and also have ribbons attached to them but only at one end, these ribbons are white, red and green.
We have different types of sticks which are used in different dances.  We have double-ended sticks which are most commonly used.  They are black and have ribbons attached to the ends, the ribbons corresepond to the colour of the flashes in your skirt, they also have bells at both ends.
Twirlies! Twirlies are used in dances such as Royton.  I don't quite know how to describe them to you except for the fact that they twirl around. They are made from original Bobbins.
Hankies are used in dances such as Glossop and Abram. The colour of the hankies matches the colour of your flashes.
