Almira Richardson Crook Bass and her husband, Stephen H. Bass, settled in an area on Indian Creek, near Pisgah, in Giles County, Tennessee. The log cabin they built is now the living room of the house of one of their descendants. The house has been added onto throughout the years and three of the four original walls have been covered with modern wall coverings. But, the wall between the living room and the dining room has been left in its original condition.
The people currently residing in the house have a collection of dozens of arrowheads that they have found on the property. They say that when it rains, more and more arrowheads surface. Obviously, Indian Creek received its name due to the Indians living in the area.
