HOME IN YOU
Home is
wherever you are
‘neath the blue moon
or under a shooting star
where the Earth kisses your feet
is where I need to be
My place to find
angel-kissed rest
is where my head lays
gently on your chest
sweet warmth is so easy to find
I am drawn to your sunshine
My comfort
at the day’s end
allows my weary heart
time to rebuild and mend
at home with my best friend
I try to explain with poems I’ve penned
Where the dawn
touches the sea
or where porch chairs
just have room for three
calls to me,
honey-drenched melody
need no floor,
no roof, no walls
need no people,
no room, no halls
when we are quiet and alone,
Home.
