HERE COMES THE RAIN
Will I ever feel sun on my face?
I know it’s out there someplace,
I see the bright skies,
I shade my eyes -
How am I going to hold it together,
didn’t see the change in weather
All I wanted was a friend,
not a romance to come and end.
I see the clouds,
I run inside
the winds will blow
and I will hide
I’ll be strong,
I have to be
The skies will clear
just for me
won’t they?
I felt the winds changing,
and I heard the thunder roar,
I even saw lightning strike, once or twice before,
but I didn’t want the pain,
But hold on, now,
here comes the rain,
soft relief in the rain,
washes away my pain
storm is over, here comes the rain.

This came to me after listening to Black Crowes' "She Talks to Angels." At the time I was healing after a relationship ended, and the rain seems to have cleansing qualities.
