WHIPLASH

And now the Abused
has become the Abuser
beating her victims over their heads
with her tongue

Whipping
the nonconformants
with her vile wit

Manipulating
the upward hierarchy
by turning around full circle
and regressing into
weepy victim again

And so, class, we conjugate:
Abuse, abused, abuser, abusing, "abussimum"

Is there any door
that I can open
and get out of this vicious circle?
I am only a passerby
to this crazy train wreck

yet I have whiplash

Inspiration
I like to start poems with the word "and."  It shows that there is more thought behind the poem, that the ideas behind the poem have been boiling up to the point of reaching this stage.  I noticed that mean little old ladies are acting out what that learned from their wicked stepmothers, that they don't become Cinderella, they become this poem. This is directed towards someone who used to be in my life.
