SISTER |
|
| Through
a field of poppies, And through all youthful days, Through boyfriends and weddings and divorces and our own babes. Together for birthday candles, And a new sister and new brother, Fun pages, dance crazes, And sad funeral for mother. Road trips, singing lips, We shared blankets and clothes. We shared homework and housework and toys and highs and lows. She’s there for me, and I for her, Whenever we need to laugh or cry. Doesn’t matter where we are, Inside of me, she’s always nearby. |
