NOTES ON A NAPKIN |

|
IF this part of the World – if this is how it goes, I’d much rather stay nine or ten – or maybe younger and then, and then stay away from the scurrying feet, secluded inside, away from the street not caring not facing anything or anyone at any time or any where. I don’t want to care. --CRONIN DETZZ Back to main page |
| NOTES ON A NAPKIN written 2/19/79 by Cronin Detzz |
| Inspiration Naturally, this poem was written on a napkin. I was ditching school all by myself, not for any good reason other than to see the world move around me while all the kids were in school. I was sitting in a cold cafe in Chicago, drinking a cup of coffee, and watching the adults interact with each other. The adult world that I saw that day did not appeal to me. Now I know that sitting in a cold cafe in a bad part of town gives you a very negative outlook! |
