HEARTCRIES

I’m waiting for the Wind
to get to me,
to blow away
this Misery,
How could you
set me free?
How could she love you
more than me?

Well my Heart cries
your Name
And my mind says
I’m going insane!
I feel so bad I feel so sad
I miss that love
or whatever we had.

The tears fall
not from my eyes,
my Heart Cries.

It cries the Tears,
It cries your Name,
the Wind has stopped,
it’s gonna Rain

HEARTCRIES
written 8-10-79
Inspiration
Written as a song, the heart is personified as the actor: "The tears fall / not from my eyes, / my Heart cries."  I was walking down a sidewalk and the strong wind seemed to blow right through me.  I had the thought that I would like the wind to carry away my sad feelings: "I'm waiting for the Wind / to get to me / to blow away / the Misery."  The poem ends with the "Wind" (feeling of misery) stopping and the "Rain" (tears) beginning.
