AND THEN THERE WAS YOU
…and then there was you,
a breath of spring air
into my life.
My spinning world stopped
and started anew.
The other that I was
is forever gone
and now
I am here,
new and alive,
happy and soaring.
And now there is us…

AND THEN THERE WAS YOU

Inspiration
This poem begins by jumping into the middle of a sentence: "...and then there was you."  The writer's world completely changes, even down to the writer's personality, "The other that I was is forever gone."  It is a short, happy poem, ending with the joining of two people's lives.
