30 DAYS
30 Days inside your tired head,
and you reach over to your empty bed,
and all you can remember is what she said,
“I’ll give you all I’ve got,
always will, no matter what”
But who would’ve thought,
Now all the ties are cut,
Now all the doors are shut.

30 Days inside your tired head,
your friends wonder if you’re dead
you remember what you should have said,
“I need only me
What you get is what you see”
Blank out those memories
Now all the world is free
     Now whatever is, will be

A month inside your prison cell
30 days of a living hell
you remember and start to yell!
“A month has come and gone
     and I will carry on,
     no more your little pawn,
     NOW ending all the wrongs,
     NOW ending our twisted song.”

Inspiration
A friend of mine came into my life while he was "on the rebound."  He said that after his girlfriend left him, he spent an entire month in his San Francisco apartment.  Completely in shock, he closed out the world and shut out all of his friends.  His friends started wondering what had happened to him.  He finally snapped out of his slump, moved to Las Vegas, and started a local rock band.
