Medulin/Medolino

Medulin, ancient Mutila, is a town with 1,700 residents and a long, richly indented coastline which is encircled by a ring of small islands. Today Medulin is a renowned tourist centre which, along with hotels and campsites, offers a large number of rooms and apartments in private accommodation.

Kazela - naturist beach

Kazela Naturist Resort, naturist resort 2 km from Medulin (area 108 ha, capacity 2,200 persons)

Porec/Parenzo, City of

This is the largest resort in Istria and was nominated as the top resort in Croatia by the Croatian National Tourist Office in 1998. The town and its surrounding Riviera are the leading cosmopolitan and fashionable tourist centres on the Croatian Adriatic coast. There are over 100,000 beds available in the area, but the hotels and other facilities are widely spread, so the place never feels too crowded.
Porec is 2,000 years old and a visit to the old town, which dates back to Roman times, is a must. There's a lot of numerous historical sites, particularly the 6th century Euphrasius Basilica from VI st century - under UNESCO protection, The temple of Neptun, Romanesque house and many others.
The main tourist areas are two bays south of the town, called "Zelena" (Green) and "Plava" (Blue) Laguna (lagoon). They are like small towns, with several hotels in each, camping, marina, shopping and entertainment areas. Most of the visitors stay there.
It is a town of good wine, ham, cheese, olive oil and more then 70 sports activities. It has 165 tennis courts located near to the sea. There are plenty of well-known bars, night clubs, disco clubs restaurants. Plenty camps, hotels, apartments and beaches provides pleasant summer holidays. Organized tours can take you to Venice, Islands of Briuni, City of Pula etc.

Zelena Laguna and Bijela Uvala- naturist beaches

South of Porec, between the camp Bijela uvala (Eng. White Bay) and the village of Funtana, there is a popular beach visited mostly by gay men.

Ulika - naturist beach

North of Porec, after Cervar Porat and towards Naturist Camp Ulika. The meeting spot is at the beach on the first peninsula.

Island of St. Nikola - naturist beach

The gay spot is to be found on the opposite side of the main beach. Go to the western part of the island. The cruising area is along the seashore.

Solaris - auto camping, apartments, pavillons and the beach  

Naturist Auto Camp Solaris for 4500 persons. On the southern part of the Lanterna peninsula 12 km from Porec is one of the most well preserved and favorite naturist camps on the Adriatic.

Istra - auto camping and the beach

Istra Naturist Camp is situated on a peninsular surrounded by small islands, near the fishing village of Funtana only 7 kilometers south of Porec.

Pula/Pola, City of

Population: 58,342 (2001)situated at the southest end of the Istrian peninsula has been in existence since 3 000 years. It represents a very fine combination of the old and modern city where many famous writers and composers have found inspiration for their masterpieces. Many cultural and historical monuments dominate its panorama and represents today the unique setting of various cultural and artistic events.

Rabac - naturist beach  

This unofficial naturist beach is situated at the very end of Rabac, 300 m after hotel "Neptun". It is a nice beach zone, about 1500m long, consisted of rocks and several small pebbly coves, facing the island of Cres. Drinks and snacks at two (textile) grill bars above the beach. Big car parking is available 150m from the beach.

 Rovinj/Rovigno, City of

This is a charmingly picturesque town (15.000 inhabitants) with narrow, cobbled streets and campiellis. The resort is quite possibly the most picturesque in the whole of Istria. It is famous for its St. Euphemia Cathedral. To many people, Rovinj is a favourite destinations on the Croatian Adriatic, particularly as it is very lively with numerous cafes and restaurants, galleries and an active fishing port, so in the morning you can watch the fishermen come in as you have your breakfast.
The Rovinj coastal area is very well articulated with numerous bays, creeks, and capes. There are places of great natural and ecological value: forest park Punta Corente-Muntrav, St. Andrea's archipelago, the Palud marsh, the Limski kanal Fjord, and Monfiorenzo cave. 
Interesting note: Jules Verne, the father of science fiction, in search of unique places for his novels, chose Rovinj as a setting for some chapters of his novel 'Mathias Sandorf'.

Valalta- auto camping, apartments, pavilions and the beach  

Naturist Resort Valalta with a capacity for about 4000 guests is one of Europe's oldest naturist resorts (1968). In the picturesque landscape of wine gardens and cultivated fields Valalta offers accommodation in bungalows and apartments, camping places, and for boat owners the sports harbor (Marina). It is positioned in the Limski Kanal (Lim Channel), 7km from Rovinj.

Monsena- auto camping, bungalows, apartments and the beach 

Naturist resort Monsena with a capacity for 2300 Guests. Resort is positioned 3km west from town Rovinj. Monsena is visited more by younger people, the area is more naturally preserved, and also gays have their part of the beach.

Polari - Punta Evia - auto camping and the beach 

Naturist Auto Camp Polari is 4km from Rovinj with 5800 guests capacity. Within the camp there is a picturesque little cove with a slipway, a restaurant, a sea-food restaurant, a snack bar, a supermarket, bars. Nearby is the tourist settlement Villias Rubin with a wide range of sports and leisure facilities. The nudist beach near Polari Camping is mostly visited by younger gay men.

Villas Rubin - naturist beach

This beach is a part of a textile tourist complex "Villas Rubin" built in traditional Istrian style. 3 km from downtown Rovinj.

Crveni Otok - naturist beach

Located on the island Crveni Otok (Red Island), 15 minutes boat ride from Rovinj. The Red Island is really a piece of earthly paradise, a summary of everything astonishingly beautiful adorning Rovinj and its fascinating surroundings. By a magical game of nature - through a fanciful story - ennobled by the human hand, this pearl surrounded by the sea put together two tied islets - St. Andrea and Maškin. The fact of more than 180 kinds of various plants growing there witnesses the richness of the nature's gift.
Textile hotel Sol Club Istra and the beach are located on the St. Andrea island with many sport and other facilities. The other island, Maskin, is a naturist island, where besides naturist beach, you can find a nice restaurant, bar, sport facilities (volleyball, basketball, mini-golf), sauna and massage.

Vestar - naturist beach

Vestar naturist beach is the part of a textile Auto camp Vestar, at 3km distance from Rovinj. Autocamp has a capacity for 5800 guests and a sandy beach. 

Sv. Katarina - naturist beach

This beach is located on the islet of Sv. Katarina (St. Catherine), only 5 minutes boat ride from Rovinj. There one can stay in the textile hotel and dependence "Katarina". Taxi boats for Katarina islet are departing from Rovinj harbor.

Park - naturist beach 

This beach is close to very popular 4 star Meliá Eden Hotel, only 400m from downtown Rovinj and near the "Zlatni rt" - "Punta Corrente" (Golden Cape) park. Many naturists also visit Skaraba bay in the park - see the map. The beach is rocky with few shingle coves.

Umag/Umago, City of 

Umag and its Riviera (about 20km long) are very popular. The old town in Umag is attractive narrow, cobbled streets. The coast is full of pretty little bays and there are some 60,000 hotel beds and those in private accommodation here. There are many camping and caravan sites along the coast, which are well run and highly recommended for an inexpensive holiday. Umag is also well known for its marina and the international tennis centre which hosts the Croatian Open every July.

Ladin Gaj - auto camping and the naturist beach

Surrounded by rich Mediterranean vegetation reaching the very sea and by arranged beaches, Ladin Gaj with its small port offers excellent possibilities for camping. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful and the biggest camping sites of Istra region (it disposes of as many as 1791 camping units), and it is only 8 km distant from the city of Umag. 

Kanegra - auto camping and the naturist beach

The beach is not far from the city of Umag and the Croatian/Slovenian border, on the southern coast of The Bay of Piran. This beach is most popular on weekends and can be reached by roads from Umag and Savudrija in Croatia or Portorož in Slovenia. Check out the woods behind the beach. 

Polynesia - naturist beach

Polynesia naturist beach in "Sol Polynesia" tourist settlement situated in the Katoro locality 3 kilometres away from Umag. The best way to get there is to go to Zambratia and then walk from the small harbour to the beach. It is a fine grass and concrete beach with a restaurant, bar and FKK grill. The gay spot is to be found in front of and on the peninsula.

Vrsar/Orsera, City of

The coastal area of Vrsar, reaching from Valkanela in the north to the Lim Channel in the south, offers all sorts of accommodation: comfortable hotels, tourists apartments, campsites and private houses.
Interesting note: In the year 1961 the first modern naturist centre on the Adriatic was opened on the islet Konversada. It was the same islet on which two centuries earlier the famous Venetian adventurer Giacomo Casanova spend some time. In the course of years Konversada grew to one of the largest naturist centres in Europe.

Koversada Naturist Resort is probably the most famous in Europe, it is one of the biggest (capacity of  7000 guests) and it was founded in 1961. Many naturists from all over the world come every year to Koversada in search for nature paradise, warm climate and crystal clear and clean sea. Accommodation in apartments and rooms possible.
