Melaquiades the jovial yet caring wisteria lives in the living room of Erin Hovland's house. It's playmate, Aureliano, sits near him but is far smaller. Both were named from the ghastly book "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and both will someday bloom and have the loveliest flowers ever seen.
