"AJ, please, give me the keys," Courtney said as they walked towards the car.
"No wife of mine is going to drive me around," AJ said as Jason walked out of the mansion and got onto his motorcycle. He regarded them for a second before leaving.
"AJ, please, let me drive," Courtney begged.
"No," AJ said getting into the car. Courtney watched him and wondered whether or not she should go back into the mansion. Shaking her head she got into the passenger's seat. AJ started the car and sped out off the Quatermaine Estate.

I remember we were drivin'
I remember what she wore
I remember we were fightin'
Though I can't recall what for

"AJ, slow down," Courtney said as AJ quickly accelerated past the speed limit. "AJ."
"Shut up," he said.
She flinched and looked out the window at the quickly passing cars. After a minute she looked up and screamed.

I remember where we were goin'
And I remember I made her cry
I don't know what was so important
That I had to be so right

"AJ, STOP!" Courtney screamed.
AJ looked up to the car coming towards them. He stepped down on the brake and swerved.

That's the last memory
That I have of her
Out of so many
That's the one that hurts
Ain't it funny the things you remember
And the things you don't
Cause that's the last memory in the world
I'd ever want

Both cars swerved and hit each other. Courtney was silent as the metal crunched around her.

I don't know how long I ignored her
While she tared out of her window
But I know which song that they were playin'
When I turned on the radio

In the other car, Kristina Carter-Cassidine screamed when her car collided with the other. The windshield busted, glass shards all over her, but she didn't notice anything but the pain that was spreading through her body.

We never got where we were goin'
Cause she told me to take her home
I just sat out in the car
And watched her walk inside alone

AJ tried to glance at his young wife, he wanted to help her but his body gave out and he fell into unconsciousness.

That's the last memory
That I have of her
Out of so many
That's the one that hurts
Ain't it funny the things you remember
And the things you don't
Cause that's the last memory in the world
I'd ever want

Someone must have called an ambulance because Kristina could hear the sirens in the distance. She knew they wouldn't get there in time as a certain peace fell over her. She gave into the feeling and closed her eyes.

Ain't it funny the things you remember
And the things you don't
Cause that's the last memory in the world
I'd ever want

~Two days later, General Hospital

AJ looked out the window of his hospital room thinking about the accident. He had killed two people, three if he included his and Courtney's unborn baby.
The police questioned him, but they all came to the same conclusion; The accident couldn't have been prevented.
AJ wasn't sure whether or not Edward had paid people to say that, but he didn't believe it. If only he'd given Courtney the keys...
The brake lines in Kristina Cassidine's car had been cut, so the entire thing was put under investigation, but AJ was a free man again, like always. He wouldn't be free though, once Sonny and Jason found him, maybe even Alexis and Ned would join the hunt all wanting revenge.
AJ turned away from the window and around the room. He might as well get it over with. He picked up his bag and walked out of the room.
