| Chapter 9 Sean drove out to a medium sized cabin in the woods and got out of the car. Mac and Robert followed him as he walked inside. "Now do you mind telling us what that bastard was talking about?" Mac asked. ~~~ Erica walked into the visiting room at the PCPD. Faison was sitting there waiting for her. "Hello my love," he said. "You've come back." She stared daggers at him. "I've come to give you a message. I may not know what you and your sister are planning and frankly, I don't care, but if it involves anyone in my family, I will hunt you down and kill you." He smiled at her. "You wouldn't do that Erica. You still love me." ~~~ Zander walked aimlessly around town. Soon he found himself on the docks facing a Cassadine yacht. "Damn I hate you Helena," he said to himself. "Well we can't have that now can we Alexzander?" Helena said coming out of the shadows. Zander sighed and turned to face her. "Hello Helena," he said coldly. Helena smiled. "I have a proposition for you Alexzander, one that you might find quite, interesting." "I'm not helping you or him, so forget it." "We shall see," Helena said before walking back to the yacht. ~~~ "Well Sean?" Robert probed. Sean sighed and turned to face them, bracing himself for the explosion that was sure to come. "Twenty-five years ago, I began training Erica. It started off as basic agent training." "But?" Robert asked. "But then Anna was approached by Faison..." "That has nothing to do with Erica," Robert yelled. "It has everything to do with this," Sean said calmly. "When Anna was approached to work for the DVX, she came to me. I thought about the unique position that would put the bureau in. We could get almost unlimited access to the DVX operations. I told her to take it. "The more I thought about it, the more appealing it became, I asked Erica if she would help the bureau take down the DVX by being a double agent. She agreed, but she didn't know about Anna. I varied her training. I taught her Russian, German, Greek and other languages that she would need. I figured that by the time she was eighteen, she'd be ready. "She was going to stage a falling out with all of us in order to gain Faison's trust. By the time of the fire, we had almost everything worked out, but something went wrong. Faison found out that Anna was telling us everything, that she was never loyal to him." ~~~ Zander went back to the Outback. He saw Michelle sitting at the bar talking to Robin and Lucky. "Michelle," he said walking over to them. "Zander, where'd you go?" Michelle asked. "No where," he lied. Michelle didn't question him further but instead turned back to Robin. Lucky stood up and walked over to Zander. "What's going on here Zander?" Lucky asked. ~~~ Erica stared at him with cold, dark eyes. "You are full of yourself. I never loved you. I despise you." "No you don't," Faison said smiling. "You love me, you always have loved me." ~~~ Anna walked into the PCPD and went directly to the visiting room. She walked inside and heard Faison's last coment. Knowing Erica well, Anna grabbed her arm and turned her to face her. Anna shook her head. "Not now." Erica glared at her before storming out of the room. Anna sighed and walked to the door. "Until next time Anna," Faison said. "There won't be a next time." She left as Faison leaned back in his chair smiling. ~~~ Robert sat down in a nearby chair. "Why?" "Why what?" Sean asked. "You already had Anna, why Erica?" Sean sat down and sighed. "She had the potential to become the director of the WSB, her skills exceeded those of some of our top agents, they topped yours," Sean paused, "I believed that she and Anna could bring down the DVX." "Damn't Sean," Mac yelled. Sean closed his eyes. "How did he find out Sean?" Robert asked. Sean sucked in a breath. "After the fire, I took Anna out of the bureau, I made people think that she had been killed." "I remember that," Robert said quietly. Sean nodded. "I did it because Faison had figured out that she would always be loyal to the WSB and he wanted her dead. I killed her first. It worked for a while, I had some very loyal agents protecting her and Robin for two years. "But I made a mistake, I misjudged the loyalty of an agent who had infiltrated our group. He told Faison where Anna and Robin were hiding. "When I was gone, Faison's men showed up and kidnapped Anna. While he had her, he gave her a drug that was sort of like a truth serum. She told him everything about what I was training Erica to do. "When we rescued Anna, she told us everything that she had told him," Sean shook his head. "We didn't think about it. We didn't stop to think that maybe, just maybe, he had her." ~~~ "Nothing," Zander answered. "I really believe that," Lucky replied sarcastically. "You never told anyone about your family, then suddenly one day they show up. What else haven't you told us, told Emily?" "Emily has nothing to do with this." "She loves you, whatever involves you involves her." Zander shook his head and pushed past him. "Michelle, Robin, I need to get you both back to the hotel." "Why?" Robin asked. "Faison was arrested..." "But not Helena, we need to go, now." "Now why would you want to do that Alexzander?" Helena said from behind him. "Wouldn't you and Michelle much rather stay and eat dinner with me?" ~~~ Anna caught up to Erica in the park. "Erica wait." She grabbed the younger woman's arm and turned her to face her. "Anna, let me go," Erica said. Tears were pooling in her eyes and she was shaking. "No Erica, let's go back to the hotel or to Sean and Tiffany's and talk. We need to talk about this." "No, we don't," Erica said pulling away from Anna. Anna sighed and went after her. "Erica..." She was cut short by a bullet hitting her in the chest. "Anna!" Erica screamed falling to the ground as a bullet grazed her arm. |
