| Chapter 6 Erica looked at her daughter and sadly smiled as she walked past Mac and Luke towards her. Sean let Michelle go and she went to her mother. Erica wrapped her arms around her. They were both crying. "Anna," Sean called. "What Sean?" Anna asked walking towards the group. "You might want to call Robin and Zander and have them meet us at the Outback." Anna glared at him. "You call them." Sean sighed and shook his head. He pulled out his phone and dialed a number. "My baby girl," Erica said as she touched her daughter's face. "It's really you?" Michelle asked. Erica nodded. "Papa said that you and Zander were dead." Erica's heart broke. Damn Faison. "No Erica, I'm here, Zander is with your cousin. We won't leave you, ever." "But Papa said..." "Michelle, he lied...he lied to you to turn you against me and Zander." Michelle shook her head vigorously. "He wouldn't lie to me. No. No, he wouldn't lie." She pulled away from Erica. "Michelle," Erica pleaded, reaching for her daughter. "Don't Mother," she said. The tone of her voice made Erica want to kill Faison a thousand times over. "Michelle Raina Scorpio," she said. "You know that I would never hurt you, Zander would never hurt you..." "Papa wouldn't either." Erica looked away for a minute. She turned to her daughter. "Michelle...he would hurt you to hurt me." ~~~ Later Robert walked into the Outback. It was dark as it was on this day every year. He walked behind the bar and got out a bottle of whiskey. He poured himself a glass and downed it quickly. All he wanted to do was take away the pain, the anger, the confusion. What had happened to Erica? Why didn't she remember anything? He poured another glass as the door opened and Zander and Robin walked in. Robert was about to say something when he decided to listen to their conversation. "All I'm saying," Robin said, "is that he won't give up that easily. He didn't six years ago and he won't now." "What else did he do six years ago?" Zander asked. "Long story. One consolation though, is that Frisco can come out of hiding." Just then the door opened. Anna, Mac, Luke, Lucky, Sean, Erica, and Michelle walked in. Upon seeing Zander, Michelle ran to him. He wrapped his arms around her in a protective hug. Robert glared at Sean. Sean sighed and looked towards the office. Robert wordlessy followed. Once inside Sean turned to Robert. "What the hell happened to her Sean? And how long have you known about it?" ~~~ Mac was silently trying to piece together what was going on. Erica alive? Faison? Zander? Anna? What was going on? True, it was Port Charles, people coming back from the dead was a natural, everyday occurance. But Erica? He shook his head and went back to the office where Robert and Sean were. Erica walked over to her children. Zander was still hugging Michelle who was crying. Her heart broke. Faison had ultimately won, he'd succeeded in taking one of the few things that she really cared about...her daughter. Anna watched Erica, Michelle, and Zander. She also saw the look on Erica's face. She sighed as Robin came over. "Mom?" "Yes Luv," Anna said. Robin smiled sadly. "Shouldn't we call Frisco?" Anna nodded and went behind the bar. She found the phone quickly and put it on the counter. Silently, she dialed the private, unknown number for Frisco Jones. ~~~ On a private island somewhere off the east coast of South America, Frisco Jones groaned as the phone began to ring. He had been asleep and wanted to return to that deep slumber while he could. He groggily answered. "Jones." "Hello Frisco," Anna said. He immediately perked up. "What happened?" "We got him." "Is he dead?" Frisco asked hopefully. "No, but Sean and I may be." "What happened?" "I'll explain later." "Then I already know. What about Michelle?" "She was with him. She's here now with Zander and Erica." "So it's safe to assume that we can come home?" Frisco asked. "It's safe." "We'll be there soon Anna." Frisco hung up and smiled. Soon his life woud be fine. He looked around his bedroom and sighed. The room was a mess and if she saw it, Erica would probably kick his a** because of it. He smiled, stood up, streched and walked out of the room. ~~~ |
