Edmund Gray walked into his brother's office. "What's gotten you so worked up?"
"This," Dimitri Marrick replied, handing him some papers. Edmund looked through them then turned towards his brother.
"Is this true?" Edmund asked.
"I believe so."
"I can't believe this."
"Neither can I, but we have to deal with it."
"You're already checking into it?" Edmund asked.
"Yes, I've begun the search for Marissa Viediker."

~~~
Hazel Viediker watched, helplessly, as her mother slowly died. It was quick and painless. She wanted to scream out, but she had to be calm. She had a job to do. She needed to get things done and fast. As her mother was declared dead, she stared at the newspaper in her hand.
"DIMITRI MARRICK RETURNS FROM THE DEAD"
~~~ The next day
Alex Marrick walked into her husband's office. "What's bothering you?"
"Nothing," Dimitri quickly lied.
"Really? Then why are you so tense?"
"I'm busy."
"With what?" She asked walkig around the desk.
"The Andrassy Foundation."
"You know that you can't lie to me."
"I'm not lying."
"Really? Then why are you and Edmund having secret meeting since yesterday?"
"We're brothers, can't we have some secrets between ourselves?"
"Dimitri, my sister IS a spy. If you don't tell me, I'll find out some other way," she said playfully.
He smiled. "Fine," he sighed. "I was sent some information from Hungary last week." He handed her some papers. "We've begun the search but nothing has come in yet."
"Do you think it's possible?"
"Yes."
"How are you going to deal with it?"
"The same way I dealt with it before."
Alex nodded and handed him back the papers. "Just remember that I am here if you need to talk." He smiled and she left.

~~~
"Hazel, why do you want to do this?"
"Paige, I have to do this. Mother would want me to,' Hazel said, looking at her younger sister.
"How do you know what our mother would want?"
"I just know, Paige," she said, her voice softening. "She wanted us to be taken care of."
"And how are you going to do that?"
"You'll see," Hazel said.
~~~
Dimitri was talking to Alex when Edmund walked in. "They found this," Edmund said, handing Dimitri a newspaper. It was the 'Transitions' page. Dimitri looked to the V's. He read the article.
"So she's dead?"
"Yeah, so there's no way to prove if those files are real or not."
"There is one way. She has two daughters, Hazel and Paige."
"Word is they disappeared after her death."
"Then we will have to find them." Dimitri stood and walked to the window. "We have to find them."

~~~
Hazel and Paige checked into the Pine Valley Inn and went to their room. Hazel left a few minutes after they arrived saying that she had something that HAD to be done. Paige didn't care. She just wanted to go home, but where was that?
She walked around the hotel room before fianlly collapsing on the bed. She laid back and stared at the ceiling. She kept trying to figure why Hazel wanted to come to Pine Valley.
~~~
Hazel walked up to the front door of Wildwind. She was greeted by a servant and ushered into the foyer.
"Mr. Gray will be down in a minute," the servant said before disappearing. A few minutes later Edmund came down.
"Miss?" Hazel turned around. "I'm Edmund Gray, what can I do for you?"
"Quite a bit actually. I'm Hazel Viediker."

~~~
Dimitri, however, was taking the family jet to Hungary where he intended to either prove or disprove what that file had said. He kept running through possible scenarios in his mind trying to find a way to make the information false, but nothing seemed right. So he was going to the source.
