The woman walked into Luke's. The club hadn't opened for the night yet so it was dark and uninviting. She looked around and found no one. She frowned. She had wanted and audience for this performance.

She moved with the grace and elegance of an aristrocrat through the club and to Luke's office. She tapped lightly on the door before entering.

"Who the hell are you?" Luke demanded. He was about to say more when he noticed her stunning beauty. Her long blond hair was in ringlets. Most were secured with a barette, but a few strays fell in her face. She didn't look any older than thirty, and she looked gorgeous in her sky blue, knee length dress. To him, she looked like a queen.

"She said that you were quite rude," the woman said.

"Who said that Darlin'?"

"My mother."

"Oh, and who would that be?"

"You know her quite well actually."

"Please, stop the suspense," Luke said sarcastically. The office door opened again. Though this time it revealed Helena.

"Great. I got a Mystery Woman and Queen Viper. This day just keeps getting better and better."

"Hello, Mother," the woman said greeting Helena. Luke deadpanned.

"Hello, Chrissa," Helena said moving towards her daughter.

"Kay, so Vipes, you got a daughter, congrats. She killed anyone useful yet, like Vlad?"

"Not yet, but she does not have to prove herself to me. I already have the ultimate weapon against you Luke."

"And what would that be?"

"Chrissa."

Luke looked at her like she was crazy.

"Oh, Luke, don't you remember the fun we had all those years ago?" Helena asked. Luke stared at her with cold, emotionless eyes.

"I believe he does remember, Mother," Chrissa said.

"It seems like it doesn't it? I'm glad, my Dear, that you are nothing like him, you got the right genes from me, beauty and brains."

Chrissa smiled at her mother.

"And you expect me to believe any of this?" Luke asked.

"You don't have to believe it," Chrissa said. "But why should we lie?"

"It's in the blood." Helena left the office.

"Really?"

"Yup. Helena only tells the truth when she can get something out of it and I see nothing that she can get out of this."

"You're looking in the wrong direction," Chrissa said, pointing to a picture on the wall before leaving.

Luke watched her go and then turned to the picture that she had been pointing to. It was of him, Laura, Lucky, Lulu, Bobbie, BJ, Tony, and Ruby. He picked up the picture frame and stared at the picture. He absentmindedly ran his hand on the back of the frame and felt something very that shouldn't have been there. He turned it over to find a computer disk. He looked at it, confused before putting it into his computer. He opened the main file and found a note from Chrissa.

****Luke, I'm doing this for one reason and one reason only, to protect my daughter. Helena has a plan. She wants to use me and my daughter, Maria, to destrory you. Then she will kill all of us. If you really believe in family then you will protect Maria like you do Lucky and Lulu. On this disk I've left a map and security codes to a house in Mexico. That is where Maria is right now. Hurry, there is not much time. Love, Your daughter, Chrissa Danae Spencer.****

Luke took a deep breath and calculated. Twenty-four years. He remembered it vividly.

~~~FLASHBACK~~
"Luke, please, don't go," Helena pleaded with him.
"I have to. My sister needs me," Luke said, getting dressed.
"I'll send someone to take care of her, you can stay here."
"And let your husband find out? Really Helena, I have to go."
"You care about that little brat Barbara more than me," Helena whined.
"Damn straight," Luke said.
"You have angered me Luke," Helena said. She got out of bed and stood in front of him completely nude. "If you come back to bed right now, maybe I won't punish you, too much."
"I'm leaving now Helena." He grabbed his shoes and left the room, slamming the door behind him.
"Your child will pay for that Luke Spencer!" She screamed.
~~END~~~
"Damn. Helena actually told the truth," Luke said turning back to the computer. Helena had taken his daughter from him, she would not get his granddaughter.
/\/\/\ Three days later
In a small house in Mexico City, a little girl curled up in her bed. She was asleep by the time her bedroom light went on. Two figures entered the room. Her eyes suddenly popped open as someone picked her up out of her bed.
/\/\/\
Chrissa watched Helena closely. She was acting strangely.
"Chrissa, my dear, have you spoken to Luke?"
That was it. Helena knew about the disk. "No."
"I don't believe you," Helena said standing up. "Because he has disappeared."
"I don't know where he is at, Mother."
"Oh, I think you do. Maybe you warned him about Maria?"
Chrissa controlled her breathing. "I do not know where he is."
"You do, and now, so do I. ARI!"
Chrissa looked around for a possible escape. She saw nothing. Ari came into the room and grabbed her arm, pulling her out of the chair.
"Take care of her Ari," Helena said. Ari nodded and dragged Chrissa out of the room.
/\/\/\
The two figures left the room and the house with the little girl in tow. Once they were safely in a van, the figures pulled off their masks.
"Dad, what's going on here. You ask me to help you with this mission and you kidnap a child?" Lucky asked.
"Lucky, this isn't any child, this is my granddaughter, Maria."
"Your granddaughter?"
"Yes. Lucky, about twenty-four years ago, I had a brief affair with Helena."
"What?"
"Yes, I didn't know who she was at the time, only that she was married. She had my daughter, Chrissa. Lucky, I never knew."
"And this is Chrissa's daughter?"
"Yes."
"What happened?"
"I'm guessing that Helena gave birth and kept Chrissa hidden but lately has been using Maria against her."
"Where's Chrissa now?"
"I don't know."
/\/\/\ The next day
Lucky followed Luke, who was carrying a sleeping Maria into the club. They walked into the office and found the chair facing the wall. Luke got suspicious and handed Maria to Lucky.
Luke approached the chair slowly and turned it around. As he did, he noticed that Maria was starting to stir. He turned it around and saw Chrissa, dead. Her throat had been slit, from ear to ear. There was blood all over her clothes and the floor in front of the chair.
"Cowboy, get her outta here, now." Lucky didn't waste any time, he took Maria and left the office.
He took her to the backroom and whispered. "Wait here. Don't go anywhere, okay?" She nodded with big, scared eyes.
Lucky left Maria and went back to the office. "Dad? What is it?" Luke wouldn't answer him. He was studying his daughter's face, every feature.
"She killed her own daughter," Luke said quietly. Lucky slowly walked around to where his father was. He gasped at what he saw. Knowing that he was the only rational one there, Lucky went over to the phone and called the police.
/\/\/\ Later that night
Lucky was finally allowed to leave the club with Maria. He took her to his mother's house.
"Hi, mom," he said walking into the house. Leslie was sitting on the sofa.
"Lucky, what's going on?" She noticed Maria and the fact that there was some blood on his shirt.
"Mom, this is Maria. Maria, this is Laura, my mother, remember, I told you about her?" Maria nodded.
"Is mommy coming back?" She asked him.
He shook his head. "No, your mommy's not coming back." Her bottom lip quivered and she started to cry again, burying her head in his shoulder. Leslie looked from Laura to Lucky and Maria. She stood and walked over to Lucky.
With her eyes she motioned to Maria, he nodded and handed her over to Leslie. Maria resisted some at first but relaxed as Leslie started to talk to her in a motherly tone. Lucky watched then go upstairs before allowing himself to sink onto the sofa.
"Lucky? Who is that little girl? Why is there blood all over you?"
"Mom, not right now."
"Lucky."
"Mom, please. Maria just lost her mother, my sister."
"Your sister?"
"Dad had another daughter that he didn't know about, with Helena."
"When?"
"Before you two met. They had a brief affair and never told him that she was pregnant with his child. She and Helena showed up at the club a few days ago." He told her everything else. She just looked at him.
"Mom, how can a mother kill her own child like that?"
Laura stood and went to her son. She took his hands in hers. "I don't know, baby, I don't know."
/\/\/\
Luke didn't go home that night, instead, he found himself on Helena's yatch. He walked aboard and found her argueing with Stefan.
"You know Vipes, that in all my travels, I thought that the craziest person that I had encountered was Mikkos. Guess I was wrong."
"Hello Luke, I see that you got my liittle present," Helena said, referring to the blood on his clothes. Stefan looked from her to Luke then back to her.
Luke went to the bar and poured himself a stiff drink. He downed it quickly, feeling it burn its way down his throat.
"She did deserve it Luke," Helena stated.
Luke held the glass in his hand so tightly that it shattered. He turned around to face Helena. Rage radiated off of him. His eyes blazed with anger and hatred.
"Now I think I know why Mikkos wanted to freeze the world. So he wouldn't have to deal with you anymore." He quickly pulled a gun out of his jeans and shot her, point blank in the head. He let the gun drop to the floor and left the yatch.
Stefan watched him go, wondering what had just happened. He sighed and pulled out his cell phone. He was about to call the police when he saw the gun on the floor. He made a decision. He picked the gun up and went out to the deck. He wiped off the prints before tossing it far out into the water. He called the police.
/\/\/\ The next morning
Lucky woke up on his mother's couch. No one else was awake yet so he got up and put on a pot of coffee. He fixed a cup and went to get the paper.
     HELENA CASSADINE KILLED ON HER YATCH
The subtitle read
     SUSPECTED CONNECTIONS TO THE MURDER OF CHRISSA SPENCER
Lucky quickly read the article, already knowing who killed Helena. He sighed, threw the paper in the garbage and fixed himself another cup of coffee. It was going to be a long day.
