As the morning of October 25, 2003 dawned ... Christine and Rick awoke thinking of their upcoming wedding that afternoon. Like all couples, they hoped the day would be bright and sunny, but as it turned out, there was a major fire burning in the hills around Simi Valley. The sky was dark, the ash was thick, but nonetheless, the wedding would go on and they would kid later about it being a perfect orange and black sky for their Halloween wedding. Yes, the wedding party and all the guests were encouraged to wear costumes.
