DEAN REY T. PAGUIO
Choirmaster
Dean of the UP College of Music 
0and  noted world-class  conductor,
Sir Rey has continually inspired 
the choir members by his commit-
ment and dedication to the Choir's ministry both in CRL and in its Outreach Program. 

He has served as Music Director of
CRL and is presently serving as Church Elder.


PROF. AUGUSTO A.  ESPINO
Accompanist
Agot is a professor at the UP College of Music. He has worked with UP Concert Chorus, the Bel Canto Filipino, the NAPOCOR Chorale, Philippine Boys Choir, among others.

He is an excellent  pianist who is  also  a conductor and choral  arrager who has  accompanied, and at times conducted, the Choir since 1994.  Presently, he serves as Elder at the CRL.


 
 
SOPRANO 1
MA. CRISTINA  P AQUINO

Tina works as Cofinancing Admisnistrative Assitant with the Asian Development Bank She is very active in the Choir and tries to find time for its activities. With husband Tim, she served  the  Choir  as President in 1995.

 MARYA  ELIZA DEEDA  D. BARRETTO,   Soloist

Deeda is a voice student at the UP College of Music. She  won the 1996 Kundiman Grand Competitions and the First Prize in the 1997 Aberdeen Festival in Scotland.  She  is a  scholar  of  the CRL Choir for this school year.

ANGELINA  G. CIPRIANO, 

Angeling has dedicated herself to singing for the Lord at an early age.  She keeps at it despite her hectic schedule as wife, mother, and businesswoman. 

She is the Choir's Treasurer for Special Projects.

ELENITA B. GAYAO, 

Elen teaches Home Economics at a pilot school in Quezon City.  She is a member of the Quezon City Teachers Chorale.


 
 
SOPRANO  2
PHOEBE B. CRUZ 

Phoebe is a homemaker who is very proud  of her children who call her
"precious."  She helps Helen with the choir gowns and folders and 
is also Assistant  to the Choir Secretary.

PURING C. LOZARE, 

Puring is Agency Manager for Grepalife and Director   Graphic ommunication and Multimedia Design. 
She is  Secretary of the Choir and President of  the CRLWomen's Guild.

AURORA  N.   PIA, 

Auring used to teach music at St Scholastica (Marikina), the College of the Holy and Poveda. 

She now handles the  Women's Guild Choir 
at  CRL. 

ROZLYN JEWEL M PUNO

Jowee is a young and hard-working restaurateur., She is a member 
of the Board of Stewards and is the Vice-chair of the CRL Council.

RUTH D. RUIZ

Ruth is Chief Volunteer Service Officer of the Phil. Nat'l Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency. She was NEDA's Social Planning &Multicultural Projects Director.
She served as Choir President in 1996.

MIRIAM  M. COVAR
Alto 1

Miriam is a professor at the Department of Family Life and Child Development at the UP College of Home Economics.  She's currently writing her doctoral dissertation. 

She has served as Chair of the CRL Pre-school Program and is on her third term as Manager  of the Choir's Food Logistics.

CHERRY M. GARLAN, Alto 2: Soloist

Cherry is a voice student at the UP College of Music.  She is also soloist for Coro Concertino and Musica Sacra Filipino.

She helps the choir at her home church in Bulacan on Sundays after singing at CRL.

She is currently a scholar of the CRL Choir.
 

HELEN Q. DIAZ
Alto 1

Helen is a retired UP employee.  She sings with both the Pilipino Choir at  8 AM and the CRL Chancel Choir at 10 AM. 

In addition, she oversees the care of the choir gowns and the choir folders when the Choir goes out on Outreach.

MILDRED SEVILLENO-GANADEN, Ph.D.
Alto 2

Mildred is a professor at the UP College of Education.
She has been singing with the CRL Choir since her 
college days at the UP. 

A very consistent and dedicated choir member, she has also enriched worship at CRL as organist.

LETICIA P. MORALES
Alto 1

Letty has been choir singing since her high school days.  She presides over Regional Trial Court  Branch 140 (Juvenile  and Domestic Relations Court) in Makati. 

She's a lecturer on family code and relations.  As public service, she has set aside one day in a week  for free legal consultation on such matters at the Church of the Risen Lord where she's a very active member.

JESSIE GRACE UDANG-RUBRICO
Alto 2

Jessie is a doctoral student at the UP Department of 
Linguistics.  She translates  the Our Daily Bread   Annual 
to Cebuano (Atong Kalan-on sa Adlaw-Adlaw) and maintains
a website on the Cebuano language and linguistics at:  www.bigfoot.com/~ijrubrico. 

She has served the Choir as Treasurer (1996)  and as
President  (1997 to the present).


 
 
 
TENORS, BARITONES, BASSES
TIMOTHY CHARLES M. AQUINO
Bass 1

Tim has been choir singing since he was a kid.

A contractor-builder, he is now pursuing a 
masteral degree in urban plaaning at the UP-SURP.

With wife Tina, he served the Choir as President 
 1995.n
 

JESSE EMMANUEL L. BACON II
Bass 2

Jesse is a Phil-am Plans Pre-need Planning Analyst  and Agency Manager. 

A Cebuano by heart and by blood, he is the Coordinator for this Cebu Outreach of the CRL Choir.

 

JONATHAN __  BADON
Tenor, Soloist

Jonathan is pursuing his masteral degree in
voice at the UP College of Music.  He has
performed in musicals, zarzuelas, and operas.

 

PROSPERO  R. COVAR, Ph.D.
Bass  2

Pope, an anthropologist,  is a noted Filipinologist who
has written and lectured on the Filipino culture.  He chaired the Graduate School Program at the UP Department of Anthropology until his retirement last September.

He is Director  of Spiritual Nurture of the Choir.  He
has served as  Chairman of the CRL Church Council.

ALEXANDER C. CORTEZ
Tenor 1

Alex teaches theater arts at the UP and conducts theater workshops all over the country.  He also directs plays and acts in the movies.  He is currently Managing Director for Dulaang UP.

He is the Choir's Outreach Officer & Director for Skills  Enrichment.  He was past President of the Choir.

ATTY.  REUBEN A. GANADEN
Baritone

Reuben has been consistenlty singing with the Choir for over 40 years now. His commitment and support to the Choir seem not to falter despite all odds. 

He is Assitant Director of the Bureau of Fisheries and
Aquatic Resources.

FRANCIS THEODORE B. INITORIO
Tenor 2

A lawyer in the becoming, Francis loves to sing, not
only with the CRL Choir but also with the other choirs.

He is always around to emcee the Choir's Christmas fellowship and to announce the "annual awards" to members. He has served the Choir as Press Relations Officer.

LAWRENCE JATAYNA
Soloist, Bass

Larry is a senior voice student at the UP college of Music.
He has performed in various operas and stage production
in and outside of UP
 

AURELIO P. RAMOS, JR.
Tenor 1

Jun runs a tutorial and review center for graders,  high schoolers, and other examinees.  He publishes reviewers
on the side and lectures on mathematics and statistics while pursuing his doctoral degree.

He also sings with the New Covenant Choir and with the Singers Harmonics.

REGENT ASTERIO G. LAGURA II
Bass 1

Ken is a well-travelled seaman who now helps in the family business. 

An active choir member, he sometimes offers his services as driver when the Choir goes out  on its outreaches in the nearby provinces.

NAZER  D.   SALCEDO
Tenor 2

Nazer is a voice student at the UP College of Music. The 
Grand National Champion of the 1994 Kundiman Fiesta,
he has performed in various musical shows with
professional artists.

He is currently a scholar of the CRL Choir. 

ILDEFONSO J. RUBRICO, MBA
Bass 2

Nene is a consultant for the automotive industry.  He  maintains a website for matters relevant  to the industry.

He also is Webmaster of the CRL Choir website at:
crlchoir.cjb.net.

Nene served as Elder at the NCUC, Bugo (Cag. de Oro) UCCP,   and Council Chair at Mandug, Davao UCCP.
