| Session 9 Rated: R Starring: B-Actors Genre: Horror Released: 2001 Length: 100 min Billed as a frightening and worthy Indie film upon release, it quickly gained a pretty good reputation; and well deserved. This nasty little movie is very subtle and very freaky. A group of men are set to do a week's worth of worth in an old insane asylum... but some of them have secrets best left quiet...drawing from good characterization and the spooky atmosphere of an old, abandoned insanse asylum, the flick really manages to get under your skin. The ending gets a bit heavy handed, and the movies comes close to unraveling at the seams, but it still manages to pack quite a punch. I give it: 4 stars |
