Science Fiction/Comedy/Drama Released: 2001 Length: 110 min Although it bombed in the theatres, this near-perfect movie is about a teenager with emotional problems who, with the aid of his new-found friend, a giant lizard-like bunny rabbit, realizes that the world is going to end in 28 days. The movie is a dark look at a yuppie community in the 80s. Sharp, poignant and meaningful this puzzling but brilliant movie is filled with dazzling imagery and heart-breaking characters. If you are a fan of art, of movies that have meaning, than I suggest you rent this funny, sad, tremendous movie immediately. Caution: It is a bit confusing, especially the ending, although I suppose that just re-affirms it's greatness. I give it: 4 1/2 stars |
