Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington star in this high-octane suspense movie about a captain and co-captain of a navy submarine that is patrolling the waters during a time of conflict with the Russians. When they recieve a broking message, arguments break out on whether the message is an order to fire missles at Russia or if it's saying that the conflict has ended. The arguments quickly lead to all out mutiny, and from there the suspense escalates. Even if you aren't a big fan of military movies, you have to see this one. The acting is awesome, as is the totally-charged plot. I give it: 4 1/2 stars |
