| Bully Rated: R Staring: Brad Renfro, Leo Fitzpatrick Genre: Drama Released: 2001 Length: 120 min A fascinating but uneven tale about a group of teenagers (all addicted to drugs and sex) who conspire to kill a local bully. The characterization is especially all over the place as some of them are really linear, some really stupid, and some downright morbid. The movie borders on absurd in some parts, and I couldn't help wondering if it wouldn't have made a better film as a complete farce. However, during the last thirty to forty minutes, the movie really settles down and becomes the dark and disturbing film that Lary Clark intended. I give it: 3 1/2 stars |
