| CJ: A.I.: Artificial Intelligence |
| A.I. Rated: PG-13 Starring: Haley Joel Osment, Jude Law Genre: Sci Fi Released: 2001 Length: 146 min This film is an instant masterpiece for most of its long but well used length. It is the compelling story of an advanced robot child who is programed to love. After being dumped by his parents, he engages on a quest to seek after what he believes can make his mommy love him. The movie's cinemetography is absolutely astounding. The plot appears complex, but is simple at the core. Osment is simply awesome as the robot child, and some of the scenes are among the best I have ever seen. I would have given this film a perfect rating, had it not been for the ending. Spielburg totally messed up the ending, coming close to completely ruining a dark, mysterious, ingenuis film. This is definitely a must see, but do prepare yourself for a hideously bad ending. I give it: 3 1/2 stars |
