Plot:  Paul Newman plays a criminal faking a coma.  He has been an excellent burglar all his life and now faces the challenge of dealing with a nurse (Linda Florentino) and her husband (Dermot Mulroney) who have discovered he is faking.  They want to do a robbery themselves, with his help.  He agrees hesitantly, after his death partner's son blows him off when he requests his money back.  They plan a heist that includes stealing an armored car from a bank and taking all its money, as the money is delivered to the car during the day's usual deliveries.
Critique:  Where the Money Is does nothing right.  I'm not sure why Paul Newman, one of the greatest actors of our time agreed to do this low level mess.  Besides Newman the acting is flat out terrible.  Kanievska's direction is weak, the script is pointless, and the score is one of the worst of the year.  I'm not quite sure how everyone involved in this film thought they could cut corners and still make a good film.  Where the Money Is is a waste of time, and obnoxiou with its low quality script that insults our intelligence.
As the plot meanders into nowhere, I discovered the film was not only awful, but also pointless.  Each scene is flawed on every level, and its failure to deliver in any aspect of film is sad.  Apparently, the film was supposed to be fun, at least that's why Newman joined.  I'm not quite sure what was meant to be fun about it.  I know Paul Newman is at that point in his career when he just wants to be in relaxed, fun films.  But, in his old age he has apparently forgotten how to choose the right scripts.
There are no redeeming qualities in this terribly made, horrendous film.  The acting, directing, cinematography, score, script are weak and hopeless.  The project is purely a failure.  I highly recommend not seeing it.
