Genre: Comedy
Cast: Mathew Perry, Bruce Willis, Rosanna Arquette, Michael Clarke Duncan, Natasha Henstridge, Amanda Peet.
Critique:  Jonathan Lynn who created Trial and Error (starring Michael Richards who played Kramer on Seinfeld) has a great ability for making movies that don't aim high but succeed in being fun, laugh inspiring movies.  In his latest movie, The Whole Nine Yards he does just that.
This movie isnt very deep don't get me wrong, but it has fun plot twists that make sense (make sense in terms of adding up correctly not make sense in the realistic way) and one liners that left the audience repeating them as we departed the theater.
Mathew Perry did what he does best... make jokes that recite the obvious with impeccable timing.  Bruce Willis perfectly casted as the hitman doesn't provide any earth shattering acting, but gets the job done and has fun doing it.  In fact, every cast member seems to be having fun.
In general, this was a tasteful, fun comedy that I highly recomend for a good time.

Plot: Bruce Willis plays a hitman on the run from his old employers who are out to get him.  Mathew Perry is the frail young suberbanite who Willis moves in next to.  Perry's wife despises him, and will agree to a divorce if Perry turns Jimmy the Tulip (Willis) in to his old employers and gets the money the employers are willing to pay.  Perry, who is first shocked to find a hitman living next to him, gets to know Willis and finds him cheerful and fun to be with.  This makes everything difficult, and the plot just twists and turns from there.  I don't want to give the rest away.  However, I will say Perry falls in love with the Tulip's wife (Natasha Henstridge), which succeeds in making things more complicated.
