Open Hunting Areas:

In an effort to safely and responsibly manage the natural resources of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, the Department of Fish and Game has designated "Open" and "Closed" hunting areas that apply to Public Hunts only (Appendix A). Additional closed areas not noted on the map include agricultural areas where farm operators give hunter notice to leave either verbally or in written form, and any area within 1/4 mile of a residence.

Public Hunts:

The following list contains the  hunting regulations. These species are available for take by anyone possessing a Colorado River Indian Tribe Hunting Permit, or enrolled Colorado River Indian Tribal members. For locations to purchase permits, see the Permit Information section of this page.
All regulations listed herein are final except for those pertaining to migratory birds. Migratory bird regulations are currently proposed, and while we do not anticipate any changes, please check with C.R.I.T. Fish and Game for a finalized set immediately prior to hunting.

Open Waters:

All waters on the Colorado River Indian Reservation are open to the taking of fish, amphibians, crustaceans and mollusks, unless posted as closed to such activity. Use of bow and arrow, snag, snare, spear or spear gun is prohibited within one hundred (100) yards of any boat dock or posted swimming area.
