Critchett Racing
Driver: Lamont Critchett
At the age of 8, Lamont Critchett began karting with his older brothers. Despite racing only a handful of times, in 1986 Lamont placed 3rd at Raceway Park and in the following year placed 2nd at U.S. 41 Speedway. Lamont Critchett earned his first kart win in 1988.

Since 1999, Lamont Critchett has been driving karts nationally for Bob Samari, however, the occasional kart race with his brothers still take place. Today, Lamont Critchett primarily focuses on his midget racing career. His oldest brother, Loran Jr, is now his teammate.
Feature Winner of the 2006 Season Opener
Success has followed Lamont through out his 20+ years of racing experience. He won the Kart Senior Sprint Class in the inaugural year of the Valvoline Cup National Driver Points Championship. In 2003, he was named Rookie of the Year in the UMARA Sportsman Midget Division and was 2nd in the Valvoline Cup for the Kart Senior Sprint Class.  He even successfully completed a driver development program with Speed Secrets.  For more information, check out the links section.
