Did you know that one in every three children in Massachusetts is hungry? Did you know there is something you can do to help? Join Project Bread in the fight against hunger by walking in the 38th Walk for Hunger Sunday May 7th. Here is Project Bread executive director, Ellen Parker:

This year the Walk for Hunger is expected to raise over three million dollars in pledges to help fund 400 food pantries and soup kitchens across Massachusetts. The 20 mile walk will be a great way to see Boston, Brookline, Newton, Watertown and Cambridge. Meet us at the Boston Common early because the walk will begin by 9 o’clock a.m.

And even if you can’t walk the whole 20 miles, come anyway and enjoy entertainment and free snacks along the way. You can also pledge money in support of another walker. For more information to become a walker or to pledge one please visit Project Bread’s website at www.projectbread.org.
