| The Last Month of Pregnancy |
| October 6, 2001 36 Weeks (9 Months) Only one more week of work, then my maternity leave starts. I am weighing in at a whopping 190 pounds now (thank goodness I'm tall, so the weight's spread out)! I'm wondering how I'll lose all the weight over the holiday season. My belly is measuring 42" around and my belly button is still an innie. The baby probably weighs around 6 pounds now (even though I say 30) and should be 18-20 inches long. I started to get bad heartburn last week. It's strange but bland foods cause it (especially crackers and water). Several little stretchmarks on my hips and lower belly have shown up. My Dr. appointments should be weekly now. |

| October 13, 2001 37 Weeks My last day of work was yesterday. I hopefully won't have to go back until January 2nd. My belly is now 42.5 inches around and I weighed in at 195. According to the Dr's scale, I had only gained 2 pounds in the last two weeks. Guess it just depends on what day they weigh me. The baby's heart rate was in the low 140's at my last appointment, and my blood pressure is back to normal (108/??). |
| October 21, 2001 38 Weeks Where did all the time go? Less than 13 days to go until the due date (but I'm hoping it will be 18 days so I don't have to return to work for one day before Christmas). My belly is measuring 42.75 inches around now and at my last Dr's visit I hadn't gained any weight, so that is good (192 pounds on Dr's scale). I was beginning to think I would never stop getting bigger! |

| October 27th, 2001 Week 39 Had another Dr's appointment this past week. I gained 2 pounds. I finally thought I was done gaining weight...Dang It! That puts me at 194 according to the Dr's scale. I was 1.5cm dilated and 70-80% effaced; my blood pressure was 112/62; and the baby's heart rate was around 155 bpm. My belly now measures 43 inches around. I Don't think the baby has dropped yet. Can't belive that the baby is due this time next week! |

| November 3, 2001 Week 40 It's my DUE DATE today. No baby yet, but the Dr. said today was my due date (I still say it's a week away). |

| November 11, 2001 Week 41 At 8 days past my Dr's due date I am finally in labor! This was the day I always said would be the day! Thought we had better take one last picture before heading to the hospital. I'm guessing I probably weigh around 196-198 in this photo, which means I gained 52-54 pounds! (At one week post partum, I had all ready lost 30 pounds). Look at that fat face!! |

| Pregnancy #2 36 weeks March 2004 Here my belly measures 42.5" around. I have gained 40 pounds at this point. Lots of baby hiccups and Braxton Hicks when I'm moving around. (188 on Dr's scale) |

| 39 Weeks Pregnancy #2 Still no baby. Weighing 187 pounds this week, which puts me at a 44 pound gain so far. Fundal height of 39.5 cm's. Getting tired so very easily this week. Had a day full of nothing but irregular contractions, that obviously resulted in....nothing! |
| 40 weeks Pregnancy #2 Ok, my doctor's due date has come and gone (April 26th), but I still have 2 days until I reach my estimated due date of April 30th. Nothing promising yet though in the way of labor. My belly is 44 1/4" around now, and I'm at 188 pounds (45 pound total gain). Seem to have more energy this week, but that may be due to the super nice weather outside. |
