| These were Samantha's very first solo project. These were planted by her 2 springs ago and she even coaxed them through a Chicago winter AND the great sunflower invasion. Too bad the strawberry's home was hijacked for a new garden bed... but Sam has plans for them still! Her strawberry success was what led to Mom and Dad agreeing to her own garden. Maybe Mom and Dad need Sam to teach them how gardening is "REALLY" done! Many a time did Mom shake her head sadly when Sam and lil' sis, Destiny, came in with sticky hands and the tell tale pinkish red smeared cheeks of renegade strawberry eaters! Mom finally has thrown her hands up in the air and given up trying to convince them strawberries taste better washed off. Sam and lil' sis insist they taste much better with a little mother earth on them! |
