During art class we have been studying perception and the vanishing point of a drawing. In order to help us understand that we made a drawing in which we used pencil and color pencil to copy a face on to a bowl so that the image will stretch across the bowl creating a demented copy of the face. In order to help us stretch the face of the person across the bowl we used a method called wacky grid drawing. What we do is we draw a grid onto the bowl. Then we fold the picture of the person's face into the same grid. Then one by one we copy each square onto the bowl which stretchs the face across the bowl. This project was in preperation for another project we will be doing in art class. Click on the small picture to get a bigger version of my drawing.
