Crispy's Name My Bike Contest!!

Welcome! Yes, the poor bike has been mine for over a month and is still namelesss. It's a Trek Hybrid, series 7100, if that helps anyone. Give me suggestions and you too could be a winner!!!* The car, as you may know, is known as Hyperion, who was a sun god and is also a moon of Saturn. The poor bike NEEDS a name - please HELP!!!!!

Here's me and my bike! The Bike!

Bike on Grass The bike alone, for the pure visual!

And finally, the bike loaded on Hyperion, both ready to go for a ride. Bike on Hyperion!

Names already suggested:

"G'Bike"

from Andy (Trista will get this - it's a B5 reference...)

"Eos"

and

"Zephyr"

from Tamie - Tamie notes: "Eos in Greek religion and mythology, goddess of dawn; daughter of the Titans Hyperion (my car!! Get it?) and Theia. Every morning she arose early and preceded her brother Helios into the heavens. Her husband was Astraeus, by whom she bore the stars and the winds : Notus, the south wind; Boreas, the north wind; and Zephyr or Zephyrus, the west wind. Because Eos made love to Ares, Aphrodite cursed her with an insatiable desire for young men." So, Eos because Tamie has a quite a sense of humor, and Zephyr because the West Wind would make me think of them in Colorado. Isn't that sweet?

"Perry"

from Audrey, who notes that "This is from the verb "peregrinate," which means to travel (or TREK???). Although it is more of a walking word (to travel, esp. by foot), that's not exclusive, and you can say you've shortened the word because the bike shortens the journey (not really, of course, but the time, makes it seem shorter, because you're _not_ on foot)."

"Mike"

or in any case a boy's name, suggests Daniela, because "if you are on a trip and you are out of breath and start getting angry because your legs hurt and you think your lung is bursting you can blame it on Mike."

"Newton"

suggests Allison because of the whole physics/bike thing!

"Chinook"

comes from Mom. She likes the west wind idea, but prefers Chinook for the warm winds they get back home.

Don't I have the most creative and cool friends? Keep 'em coming!!

*Contest is likely to end abruptly and without warning as Crispy suddenly finds the perfect name! Crispy reserves the right to name the bike whatever she wants - suggested by you or not! No license fees will be paid to use your name! Prize is guaranteed NOT to be worth more than $0.25, unless of course you highly value Crispy's never-ending gratitude and the fact the she will think of you every time she refers to her bike by its name for at least a week. It could be worth more, of course, if Crispy begins to feel especially grateful and decides to take you to lunch, but then you'd be responsible for getting yourself out here and putting yourself up while you visit. In other words - no promises of anything! Just give me names and let me do as I please with them! Am I becoming a little legal stud muffin or what?! ;)
