I'm currently a full time student and also work full time at The Valley Lodge Tavern, an up and coming restaurant in Downtown Wilmette. I try and tend to keep myself with a full schedule with work having 50 hours a week and live on my own with a dog in the Lakeview neighborhood. I spend a lot of time with my dog "Mac" on my free time whether it's going on long walks or going to his favorite dog park down the street. He loves the beach as well! I love to exercise, whether it be running with my dog, weightlifting, or yoga. You name it! I love any time of excercise and am always open to new ways to exercise the body. I've always had the restaurant business in my blood because my father and his brothers owned and managed restaurants and nightclubs as I was growing up, so it was only natural for me to follow in their foot steps.

I consider myself a very driven person and put all my efforts into what ever task is at hand. A lot of my determination and hard working qualities I can attribute to my many years of discipline learned in the sport of wrestling. Since I gave up the sport, I try and directly relate it to all my real life adversities or even goal setting. My short term goals consist getting tasks done in a timely manner and saving money for my future endeavors, whatever they may be. As for my long term goals, I'm aspiring to open my own business after I finish my undergraduate in Finance. Using the education and tactics acquired from my studies, I hope to prosper in any field I end up working in. I'm currently in the hospitality business now so I may go that route. The sky's the limit!
I am currently enrolled at Northeastern Illinois University en route to obtain a finance degree. My prior institutions of education consisted of Oakton Community College and a brief stint at Elmhurst College. I started my college education at Elmhurst College from 2011-2013 where I was on a wrestling scholarship. After 2 years of switching between majors, I decided to move back home and save some money while I figure out what direction I wanted to head into as far as a career.
While back at home I decided to work full time and attend Oakton Community College from 2013-2018 to transfer over to where I am currently enrolled. I went from Special Education to Psychology in me tenure between both Elmhurst College and Oakton Community College, but while taking some classes in either discipline, I learned alot on how people interact which also will contribute to my future as a business owner. My estimated graduation would be in spring of 2021.
I highly recommend these institutions and they both provided stepping blocks to my route to my finance degree and overall education so I inserted links below so you can check them out!

I am fluent in Spanish which is actually a big part of my occupancy now because many of the employees that work in the kitchen are primarily Spanish speakers. I'm a quick learner and problem solver which comes in handy when you're handling a very busy restaurant on a Saturday night. I have some work in excel as we do use this platform for track keeping of records and financials.
