KADO

Kado is a Columbian Tegu who was brought to us this summer. He is three years old, about three feet long, and I'd have to guess about five pounds. He has had several toe amputation due to vasculitis, and his skin breaks open above his arms every time he sheds. Alot of time is spent disenfecting this fellow as a result, and special vitamins are added to his diet to give his skin greater elasicity.
Tegus are omnivores, as such he is fed ground turkey with bonemeal and calcium supplement in addition to his vitamins. Some greens are fruit are also added, as well as the occasional egg.
Kado is alittle shy, but he loves attention, actually arching up like a cat when you pet him. The picture below is one of my favorties of him...
