Mikki has been an animal lover as far back as she can remember. She and her husband live on a ten acre farm with four llamas, six cats and a dog; all of which were unwanted animals or strays.
In 2004 I discovered felting in Teddy Bear and Friends magazine and thought this was something I�d really like to try. Each felting reflects the love and attention I give my own animals, trying to give each creation its own individual personality,� she writes.
Mikki�s animals are felted from a variety of natural wools including wool from her own llamas. Buffalo, alpaca, camel and angora. This variety enables me to create unique and very detailed animals. I love the freedom of felting, no patterns or rules, just start with a vision. |
